Studio Guide to the Galaxy
The main studio for Digital Arts is the Guide to the Galaxy. In it, we have a separate theme each semester, for which we organize invited lectures and by which students’ semester art projects are inspired.
Independent studio work, where students create their own artworks under the guidance of teachers, is the largest course at VŠVU, taking up to a third of the time of all courses.
The studio teachers consult the students on their work. Together, students and teachers, we discuss the semester theme and individual student projects.
There are two major presentations of work in progress during the semester (checkpoints) and a defense at the end of the semester culminating in a public recon of the semester artworks.
